Group Policy Statement for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety

Eigenmann & Veronelli SpA is a company active on the Italian market for a century. From the very beginning, it has adopted a general policy to constantly keep abreast of the times and ever-evolving situations. This has enabled the company to grow over the years, maintaining its position of consolidated organisational excellence, despite the sometimes difficult market conditions.

The Management is committed to the continual improvement of its Management Systems for Quality, Environment, Health and Safety at its work environments, as to the compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements applicable.

The objectives mainly include:

  • focused interventions to prevent accidents, injuries and diseases of personnel through vocational training, information and use of advanced and secure operational measures;
  • improvement of fire prevention and alarm systems
  • monitoring of production plants and warehousing areas
  • reduction of environmental impacts such as containment of waste and of energy consumption
  • identification and distribution of less hazardous products.

The company, for its sites of Rho, S. Martino di Trecate and Tradate, has implemented a Management System for Quality according to ISO 9001. Both sites of Rho and S. Martino di Trecate, which are classified as high-risk under the European Union's Seveso Directive, are ISO 14001 and OHSAS 1800 certified and have therefore achieved an excellence acknowledgment issued by the Quality Certification Body. The production unit of S. Martino di Trecate was also awarded with EMAS Accreditation. E&V has adopted ethical behaviour guidelines according to SA 8000 defining an ethical code on social responsibility and has joined the Responsible Care Programme.

The commitment of the Management to involve and make all personnel aware of its efforts represents an additional means of cohesion and cooperation within the organisation thus ensuring, through appropriate training programmes, the achievement of its objectives.

E&V believes that computer programmes are the fundamental basis for a rapid and comprehensive communication, towards both internal staff members and external parties, and it operates so that its application programmes are adequate and comply with the internal requirements and the provisions set forth by any new regulations.

The company constantly defines initiatives for the evaluation of Customer Satisfaction, in order to better assess the degree, to which customers’ and other involved parties’ expectations of a product or service are met. The aim is to undertake all the activities necessary to further reduce the number and level of customers’ complaints and recommendations of other involved parties.
